Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1 is officially live, and it launched after one of the biggest live events Fortnite has ever had. The event, titled Zero Hour, pulled in massive numbers as Fortnite tweeted:

“Absolute Cinema: 10.5M of you joined us in-game for Zero Hour, and 3M+ tuned in across livestream platforms!”

The new season is titled Pacific Break and is scheduled to run until March 4, 2026, giving players plenty of time to complete the Battle Pass and seasonal challenges.

Battle Pass Skins & Collaborations

The Chapter 7 Season 1 Battle Pass includes 8 skins in total. Two of them are major collaborations:

  • The Bride from Kill Bill
  • Marty McFly from Back to the Future

Alongside the collabs, the pass also includes:

  • Four Fortnite-original human skins
  • One lion-man skin
  • A new remix of Eternal Voyager called Dark Voyager

New Chapter 7 Map – USA-Themed Locations

Chapter 7 introduces a smaller map compared to previous chapters, themed around the USA with locations inspired by real-world places:

  • Battlewood Boulevard – Los Angeles-inspired
  • Sandy Strip – Las Vegas-inspired
  • Innoloop Labs – Based on Area 51

The map design focuses on faster gameplay, tighter POIs, and more frequent player encounters.

No Battle Bus? Here’s What Happened

The biggest change of the season is the removal of the Battle Bus.

Instead of flying in as usual, players now surf in on the storm and are placed into a smaller, pre-determined drop area. Many players are unhappy with this because it removes the freedom to choose a landing spot.

However, Fortnite has hinted that this change is temporary. There are in-game quests about rebuilding the Battle Bus that end in just over a week.

Because of this change, these modes are temporarily unavailable:

  • OG Mode
  • Reload
  • Blitz

They will return on December 5, and Fortnite OG will return one week later on December 11 with the start of a new season.

New Weapons and Items in Chapter 7 Season 1

The new loot pool includes multiple new weapons:

  • Holo Rush SMG
  • Iron Pump Shotgun
  • Lightning Gun
  • Vengeful Sniper
  • Arc Lightning Gun
  • Deadeye Assault Rifle
  • Twin Hammers
  • Forsaken Vow Blade

New Movement Item – Wingsuit

A new movement tool, the Wingsuit, has been introduced.

It launches you upward before letting you glide across the map. It depends on momentum and cannot be used for long stretches of time.

Knocked But Not Out – New DBNO Movement

Chapter 7 Season 1 introduces major improvements to DBNO (Down But Not Out) gameplay, letting knocked players stay active longer:

Roll and Tumble

Roll to dodge incoming fire or fall down slopes to escape danger.

DBNO Sprint

Spend Energy to move faster while downed.

Stay on the Move

While knocked, you can use ziplines, ascenders, and even climb into a car’s passenger seat.

These changes make clutch revives and escapes more possible than ever.

Drivable Reboot Van

Players can place a downed teammate inside the van to revive them. You are able to drive while the reboot process occurs.

Self-Res Item

This item can be purchased from Med Machines or found in Supply Drops. It does not take up an inventory slot but takes 10 seconds to revive you. In solo matches, it provides a second chance at survival.

Final Thoughts

Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1 delivers a new map, major collaborations, new weapons, improved mobility, and bold gameplay changes that refresh the experience.
