PlayStation’s modern God of War era has reached an enormous financial milestone. According to a recent LinkedIn update, God of War and God of War: Ragnarök have generated over $1.4 billion in combined revenue.

The update was spotted by Tech4Gamers, which highlighted the achievement through a public LinkedIn post from Rich Fleider, Senior Managing Producer for Art at Santa Monica Studio.

LinkedIn Update Confirms Record-Breaking Success

The LinkedIn profile update explicitly states:

“God of War (2018) & God of War: Ragnarök (Sony PlayStation) – Record-breaking Metacritic scores & $1.4B+ combined sales.”

While Sony has not issued an official press release breaking down individual sales figures, this confirmation strongly reinforces the franchise’s commercial dominance across both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 generations.

A Defining Franchise for PlayStation

Since its reinvention in 2018, God of War has become one of PlayStation’s most critically acclaimed and commercially successful IPs. Both titles launched to universal praise, topping Metacritic charts and earning multiple Game of the Year awards.

Together, the two titles helped define Sony’s first-party strategy built around cinematic, story-driven single-player experiences.
